Dodge and counter
The opening is tied to his piano-on-ground animation. The notes and ground attacks are reasons to wait, not reasons to force damage.
Flying music notes keep you away
Avoid the notes instead of forcing a straight approach through them.
Watch for: Wait for the next pattern rather than assuming the end of one note means a free approach.
Circular zone or multi-hit ground attack
Move away from the marked ground danger and keep enough room to dodge.
Watch for: Do not rush into the remaining hits just because the first hit has passed.
He plays the piano on the ground
Use this vulnerable part of the cycle to attack.
Watch for: Be ready to disengage once the next attack starts.
Recover from a failed attempt
If you lose health on every approach, stop chasing him during the flying notes. If the ground attack hits repeatedly, leave its marked area before re-entering. Use the piano-on-ground cue to choose a cleaner attack window; if low, make space and use an equipped healing ability while dodging.
